In Ouarzazate (or just near Ouarzazate) we first visited Kasbah Telouet and then Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, the largest kasbah in Morocco (actually a walled village). We also passed by the Atlas Studio where many well known movies such as Lawrence Of Arabia, The Sheltering Sky, The Little Prince, The Mummy, Gladiator, etc. were filmed.

Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou...

Ouarzazate is a good introduction to the Sahara as well as a great place for good photo opportunities. Here, we took a break and had lunch at the Kasbah La Vallee, a real cute place with a Berber dining tent and a swimming pool tucked in a little court yard. After lunch, we chilled out listening to a local singing and playing his home made guitar and engaged in a pleasant conversation about his passion for music.

Later that afternoon we drove further south down a winding road along the magical Draa Valley to Zagora. A valley more than 100 kilometres of the largest date palms, and olive groves. The ride was not easy due to the heat. The temperature now was rising into the 50's (degrees Celcius).
